About Me
Starla Blatcher is originally from South Jersey but now resides in sunny Los Angeles. She is a writer, producer, and on the animation development track. The thematics of her work include mental health, femininity, vulnerability, and queerness.
Starla Blatcher has her Bachelor’s degree in Filmmaking at Rutgers-Camden University and her MFA in Screenwriting at Chapman University. She is currently an Executive Assistant & Office Coordinator at Hidden Pigeon Company and apart of the “Adapting IP & Creating Your Own” mentorship program at WIA (Women in Animation). Starla’s goals are developing and producing magical realism, animated stories about womanhood, and being an amazing cat mom.
